Our cover story, Olufemi Felicia Adu is the reigning Miss Big World Nigeria beauty queen takes the spotlight as she is not only gracing our page, but also granted us her first ever interview after winning the crown in November 2012. At the end of the interview, she was able to convince us that she truly deserved that crown as she is a big sister of many parts.

BSM: MBWN is hosting the 7th edition come November 2013, how is life after winning the last edition’s crown?
Femi: Life after MBWN has been great!
BSM: Tell us a little about you.
Femi: My name is Olufemi Felicia Adu. am from oOndo state, mum is Igbo, from Anambra state. I am the oldest of
four children, three girls and one boy. A graduate of Mass Communication, a jeweler
and a certified makeup artist. I am single.
BSM: How did you get to hear about the competition?

BSM: What gave you the confidence to go in?
FEMI: I watched miss big and beautiful 2012 and said, "if she can do it, I
can"
BSM; With other pretty girls in the camp,did you think you would win the crown ? FEMI; I did not think i would win, i went there to have fun.
BSM; Can you recount your daily routine and what was your experience at the MBW camp?
FEMI: our daily routine was , the morning prayer, then aerobics , then breakfast,
we had choreographers teach us the steps for the unity dance in the afternoon
and we had heart to heart talks about our lives as plus size ladies in the
seminar sessions.BSM; With other pretty girls in the camp,did you think you would win the crown ? FEMI; I did not think i would win, i went there to have fun.
BSM; Can you recount your daily routine and what was your experience at the MBW camp?

.BSM; What did you hate most about the camp?
FEMI; Nothing. it was fun all the way
BSM: Which was one experience in the camp that you will never forget?

FEMI: I would not forget the seminar sessions, because it was a way for some of
us to talk about issues bothering us.
BSM; Who were your close friends in camp and why?
BSM; Who were your close friends in camp and why?
FEMI; my close friends were Ireti, Stacy and Ella. Ireti is a nice and down to
earth person, Ella is simple and easy going Stacy is fun and friendly.
BSM: How did you feel when you were announced the winner?
FEMI; i was shocked....... i didn't ever expect that i was going to win.......i was expecting Stacy or Ella to win.
BSM: Before the MBNW 2012, we understand you won a plus size pageant, which wait?
FEMI; I won miss big bold and beautiful in Nysc batch a in Kebbi state.
BSM: How did you feel when you were announced the winner?
FEMI; i was shocked....... i didn't ever expect that i was going to win.......i was expecting Stacy or Ella to win.
BSM: Before the MBNW 2012, we understand you won a plus size pageant, which wait?
FEMI; I won miss big bold and beautiful in Nysc batch a in Kebbi state.
BSM: Would you say your previous experiences help you win the
crown?
FEMI: honestly, I think i was just favored to win MBWN
BSM: What has been your pet project after winning the crown?
FEMI; my pet project is on girl child education, but i have visited the VVF centre in kebbi state, to donate relief materials, also working on a skilled acquisition programme for young girls.
BSM; What have you been up to now?
FEMI: i finished my national youth service corps in march, i became a certified
makeup artist in may, presently am taking a course in basic radio and
television presentation at the federal radio training school.BSM: What has been your pet project after winning the crown?
FEMI; my pet project is on girl child education, but i have visited the VVF centre in kebbi state, to donate relief materials, also working on a skilled acquisition programme for young girls.
BSM; What have you been up to now?
BSM; Advice to the big sisters with a low self esteem out there?
FEMI: low self esteem is something a lot of Big sisters have, my advice is love
and appreciate yourself, if u do then people will love, appreciate and respect
you and also have confidence.
BSM: How do you see the plus size industry?
FEMI; The plus size industry is growing in Nigeria and all over the world.
